Palworld Hits Over 1 Million Sales in 8 Hours, Putting Steam Servers to the Test at Launch
Palworld, the game hailed as 'Pokémon with guns,' has achieved a remarkable milestone by selling over one million copies within just eight hours of its launch, according to its developer, Pocketpair.

Launched on January 19, Palworld swiftly ascended to the pinnacle of Steam's best-selling games list and secured a spot among the top four most-played games by concurrent players. As of now, Palworld has surpassed the renowned battle royale game PUBG, securing third place with an impressive 365,000 concurrent players and a 'very positive' user review rating.

It's important to note that Palworld's actual concurrent player count is likely much higher, considering the game is also available on Xbox and Windows PC through Game Pass. However, the substantial surge in players at launch has led to server problems. Pocketpair acknowledged that Palworld's servers have become unstable, potentially causing connection issues. In response, the developer assured players that they are actively working to resolve these server-related challenges, urging patience from the gaming community.

In the midst of Palworld's triumphant launch, it's worth highlighting that the Xbox version currently lags behind its Steam counterpart in terms of functionality. As Palworld ventures into the gaming landscape, some Pokémon enthusiasts have expressed concerns regarding the similarities between the two games.
